As a Webmoney user you may be in need of updating your email address or phone number after a while for different purposes.

How to update an email address in webmoney? 

Only users with a WebMoney Formal Passport or a WebMoney Passport of a higher type are allowed to update and change their personal information. If you hold an Alias Passport, to update your personal details you need to upgrade your WebMoney Passport.Updating an email address in Webmoney is done 3 ways which we’ll walk through here:

1.Updating an email address in WebMoney Keeper Standard

To update your email in WM Keeper Standard do the following:

Step 1

To update your email address in WM Keeper Standard or WM Keeper app first you need to login to your account. 

Step 2

After logging in, go to “Settings” and click “Account”. Then you need to click the pencil icon to edit your email address. 

Step 3

Enter your new email address and click “OK”.

Step 4

The Webmoney system will then send a verification code to your new email address which you need to enter in the box as shown below.

Your email address has been successfully updated.

2.Updating an email address manually

You can update your email address manually following these simple steps:

Step 1

First you need to login to the Verification Center website using your WMID. After logging in, go to the “Contact Information” on the control panel and click “Edit”. The “Edit” button is placed right next to your email address. 

Step 2

Enter your new email address in the box as shown below. A message containing a link to the Verification Center website will be sent to your new email address.  

Step 3

Click on the link sent to your new email address and follow the rest of the procedure to confirm your new email address. 

Step 4 

After confirming the new email you’ll have to confirm your WMID as well. Webmoney will provide you with 3 methods to choose from and confirm your WMID. the options are the following:

• a 6-digit verification code which will be sent to your old email address
• a verification code sent to your verified mobile number via an SMS or voice message
•  security question verification, which needs to be provided with a security answer

3.Updating an email address with the help of employees at the Verification Center

If you are unable to update your email address by yourself, you can do this with the help of employees at the Verification Center following the below steps: 

Step 1

Contact your email service provider and restore access to your mailbox. 

Step 2

You’ll receive the verification code via post. Click “Click here” in the link and the verification code will be sent to the postal address registered with your WebMoney Passport.

Step 3

Submit your application to the verification Center. Your email address will then be processed and updated if possible.
